The University of Applied
Sciences in Flensburg
is situated close to the Danish border in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. Flensburg is a harbour
town with 80,000 inhabitants and two universities. The portfolio of the University of Applied Sciences is split into two main
faculties: Engineering and Economy (with 3,000 students in 2008).As a part of the Economy faculty, the University of Applied Sciences is the home of the well-known, Germany-wide Hospital Management School, founded in 1992. Here the subject of Hospital Management is also presented like the eHealth-Master programme. This programme, which began in autumn 2007, was the first of its kind in Germany.
Since 2007, the University of Applied Sciences has also been a partner in the eHealth for Regions network and, since May 2008, the Management Secretariat for the eHealth for Regions Network has also been located here.
