eHealth for Regions network established
The representatives of the highest political levels from the eHealth for Regions partner regions met in Stockholm, Sweden, and signed an agreement about a network for innovation in transnational cooperation on health.
The subject of this network agreement is to fix the organisation of a partnership, the regulations of the rights, the obligations, the conditions, the financing and requirements of the network “eHealth for Regions” in order to successfully strengthen integrated regional healthcare structures in the Baltic Sea Region and to be a basis for innovative pilot actions and projects in transnational cooperation in the field eHealth.
The eHealth for Regions network will have three organisational units:
- A Political Strategic Board (PSB) decides on strategic guidelines for the development of the network
- An Executive Steering Committee (ESC) works out of a yearly activity plan and decide about the use of the budget of the network
- A Management Secretariat prepare the meetings of the PSB and the ESC and organise the dissemination (e.g. maintenance of the network website)
