Tenth Meeting of the Working Party on Health Systems
The expert group of the European Comission, the Health Systems Working Party (HSWP), met up on 15 – 16 July 2008 in Luxembourg. Thorsten Beck (AOK Schleswig-Holstein, Statutory Health Insurance, Germany) attended this meeting to represent the eHealth for Regions network at this European level.
The HSWP of the EU Public Health Programme consists of project leaders of Health Systems projects, national experts from public health authorities, representatives of related European institutions and international organizations, and other stakeholders. It offers a forum for discussions and exchange of knowledge in the field of health systems.
At the tenth meeting the focus layed at the work plan for 2009 and on the creation of a HSWP Glossary. Furthermore the HSWP welcomed Thorsten Beck as a representative of the eHealth for Regions network. The member of the Executive Steering Committee (ESC) gave an overview about the recent activities of the network and the future pilot of the web-based electronic health record.
